{"data":{"id":"us-ut/utah-code-54-26-201","jurisdiction":"us-ut","citation":"Utah Code § 54-26-201","heading":"Large-scale service request requirements.","body":"(1) Except for large load customers seeking service under a private generation contract, a large load customer seeking service under this chapter shall submit a large-scale service request to the qualified electric utility serving the proposed location.\n(2) A large-scale service request shall include:\n(a) the customer's identifying information;\n(b) the proposed location for electric service;\n(c) the requested amount of electric demand in megawatts;\n(d) a proposed service commencement date;\n(e) load profile information, including:\n(i) anticipated annual energy usage;\n(ii) expected hours of operation;\n(iii) seasonal variations;\n(iv) peak demand requirements; and\n(v) any special service requirements;\n(f) information sufficient to demonstrate the financial capability to complete the large load customer's project that is the subject of the large-scale service request; and\n(g) confirmation that the customer will not use the electric service for resale.\n(3) After submitting a large-scale service request and before entering into a large load contract, a customer shall:\n(a) ensure that all information submitted under this section remains current; and\n(b) promptly notify the qualified electric utility of any material changes to information submitted under this section.\n(4) A large load customer satisfies the requirements of Subsection (1) of this section if the large load customer submitted a large-scale service request consistent with the qualified electric utility's then-existing requirements to the qualified electric utility prior to May 7, 2025.","path":["Title 54 Public Utilities","Chapter 54-26 Large-Scale Electric Service Requirements","Part 54-26-2 Service Request Process"],"source_url":"https://le.utah.gov/xcode/Title54/Chapter26/54-26-S201.html","current_through":"2026 General Session","vintage":"","retrieved_at":"2026-09-03T11:34:33Z","sha256":"be6a773c36a81866c2c6267305cc28277b96156f42b78369dec0076a3a5b5aa8","source_id":"us-ut","stale":false,"prev":"us-ut/utah-code-54-26-102","next":"us-ut/utah-code-54-26-202"},"notice":"GroundRules: Original legal text.
