{"data":{"id":"us-ut/utah-code-54-7-13.7","jurisdiction":"us-ut","citation":"Utah Code § 54-7-13.7","heading":"Energy rebate program -- Requirement -- Reporting to Office of Energy Development.","body":"(1) As used in this section:\n(a) \"Energy rebate program\" means a program operated by a large-scale public utility that provides financial rebates or incentives to customers for measures that reduce energy consumption or improve the efficiency of energy consumption.\n(b) \"Large-scale public utility\" means a public utility that:\n(i) provides retail electric service to more than 200,000 retail customers in the state; or\n(ii) provides retail natural gas service to more than 200,000 retail customers in the state.\n(c) \"Office\" means the Office of Energy Development created in Section 79-6-401.\n(2) On or before September 1, 2026, and annually thereafter on or before September 1, a large-scale public utility that operates an energy rebate program shall submit a report to the office describing the energy rebate program operated by the large-scale public utility during the previous calendar year.\n(3) The report required by Subsection (2) shall include:\n(a) a description of each energy rebate program offered by the large-scale public utility;\n(b) for each energy rebate program:\n(i) the types of rebates and incentives offered, including financial amounts and eligibility criteria;\n(ii) customer participation during the program year, including the number of participants in each of the following customer categories:\n(A) residential customers;\n(B) commercial customers;\n(C) industrial customers;\n(D) irrigation customers; and\n(E) any other customer class as determined by the large-scale public utility;\n(iii) the total amount of rebates and incentives issued;\n(iv) energy savings achieved through the program;\n(v) cost-effectiveness metrics for the program; and\n(vi) administrative costs incurred; and\n(c) how each energy rebate program aligns with the state energy policy described in Section 79-6-301.","path":["Title 54 Public Utilities","Chapter 54-7 Hearings, Practice, and Procedure"],"source_url":"https://le.utah.gov/xcode/Title54/Chapter7/54-7-S13.7.html","current_through":"2026 General Session","vintage":"","retrieved_at":"2026-09-03T11:34:33Z","sha256":"df98066bac7ddea53b47a11ccfe44c63c7354f7a89d96ec8728705198d72b69c","source_id":"us-ut","stale":false,"prev":"us-ut/utah-code-54-7-13.6","next":"us-ut/utah-code-54-7-14"},"notice":"GroundRules: Original legal text.
