{"data":{"id":"us-ut/utah-code-54-9-102","jurisdiction":"us-ut","citation":"Utah Code § 54-9-102","heading":"Definitions.","body":"As used in this chapter:\n(1) \"Common facilities\" means all works and facilities:\n(a) owned or used by two or more public power entities or power utilities; and\n(b) necessary to the generation, transmission, or distribution of electric power and energy.\n(2) \"Interlocal entity\" has the same meaning as provided in Section 11-13-103.\n(3) \"Power utility\":\n(a) means a public agency, as defined in Section 11-13-103, or other person engaged in generating, transmitting, distributing, or marketing electric power and energy; and\n(b) does not include a public power entity.\n(4) \"Public power entity\" means:\n(a) a city or town that owns a system for the generation, transmission, or distribution of electric power and energy for public or private use; and\n(b) an interlocal entity.","path":["Title 54 Public Utilities","Chapter 54-9 Electric Power Facilities Act"],"source_url":"https://le.utah.gov/xcode/Title54/Chapter9/54-9-S102.html","current_through":"2026 General Session","vintage":"","retrieved_at":"2026-09-03T11:34:33Z","sha256":"a35783f5398b2bfe320cdfe6e07ea732b807f5c9db60e0c383b62aaca46935aa","source_id":"us-ut","stale":false,"prev":"us-ut/utah-code-54-9-101","next":"us-ut/utah-code-54-9-103"},"notice":"GroundRules: Original legal text.
