{"data":{"id":"us-ut/utah-code-57-10-8","jurisdiction":"us-ut","citation":"Utah Code § 57-10-8","heading":"Use of terms on maps and documents.","body":"(1) A document that identifies or uses a coordinate system shall clearly and completely identify the coordinate system used in accordance with Section 57-10-9.\n(2) A person who uses the term \"Utah Coordinate System\" on a map, report of survey, or other document shall use the term to reference the coordinate system, the coordinates, and the unit of measure.\n(3) A person who uses a coordinate system that is similar to the Utah Plane Coordinate System, including a system that uses a modified elevation datum, shall include the word \"modified\" in the title of the coordinate system.\n(4) A survey or map that is based on a modified coordinate system shall:\n(a) display the full title of the modified coordinate system, including the word \"modified\"; and\n(b) display the appropriate combined adjustment factor that relates the modified system to the Utah Plane Coordinate System.","path":["Title 57 Real Estate","Chapter 57-10 Utah Coordinate System"],"source_url":"https://le.utah.gov/xcode/Title57/Chapter10/57-10-S8.html","current_through":"2026 General Session","vintage":"","retrieved_at":"2026-09-03T11:34:33Z","sha256":"eb37f42c8433c3674eb43faa69b729df6c1e95154a0291f71859dbfc6287d9a3","source_id":"us-ut","stale":false,"prev":"us-ut/utah-code-57-10-7","next":"us-ut/utah-code-57-10-9"},"notice":"GroundRules: Original legal text.
