{"data":{"id":"us-ut/utah-code-57-24-101","jurisdiction":"us-ut","citation":"Utah Code § 57-24-101","heading":"Definitions.","body":"As used in this chapter:\n(1)\n(a) \"Flag\" means a depiction or emblem:\n(i)\n(A) of the flag of the United States as provided in United States Code Title 4, Chapter 1, The Flag; or\n(B) of the state flag of Utah as provided in Section 63G-1-501;\n(ii) made from fabric or cloth; and\n(iii) with measurements that do not exceed three feet by five feet.\n(b) \"Flag\" does not include a depiction or emblem made from:\n(i) lights;\n(ii) paint;\n(iii) roofing;\n(iv) siding;\n(v) paving materials;\n(vi) flora;\n(vii) balloons; or\n(viii) any other building, landscaping, or decorative component.\n(2) \"Resident\" means:\n(a) a renter as defined in Section 57-22-2;\n(b) a resident as defined in Section 57-16-3; or\n(c) a unit owner as defined in Section 57-8-3.\n(3) \"Residential property management authority\" means:\n(a) an owner as defined in Section 57-22-2;\n(b) a mobile home park as defined in Section 57-16-3;\n(c) a mobile home park residents' association established in accordance with Section 57-16-16;\n(d) an association of unit owners as defined in Section 57-8-3; or\n(e) a management committee as defined in Section 57-8-3.","path":["Title 57 Real Estate","Chapter 57-24 Display of Flag"],"source_url":"https://le.utah.gov/xcode/Title57/Chapter24/57-24-S101.html","current_through":"2026 General Session","vintage":"","retrieved_at":"2026-09-03T11:34:33Z","sha256":"2eed454399b03346eb304c6b0479d6325b39c79d18aaf775741fb6cb2d5909c7","source_id":"us-ut","stale":false,"prev":"us-ut/utah-code-57-23-10","next":"us-ut/utah-code-57-24-102"},"notice":"GroundRules: Original legal text.
