{"data":{"id":"us-ut/utah-code-57-8a-107","jurisdiction":"us-ut","citation":"Utah Code § 57-8a-107","heading":"Amending the declaration to make provisions of this chapter applicable.","body":"(1) An association may amend the declaration to make applicable to the association a provision of this chapter that is enacted after the creation of the association, by complying with:\n(a) the amendment procedures and requirements specified in the declaration and applicable provisions of this chapter; or\n(b) the amendment procedures and requirements of this chapter, if the declaration being amended does not contain amendment procedures and requirements.\n(2) If an amendment under Subsection (1) adopts a specific section of this chapter:\n(a) the amendment grants a right, power, or privilege permitted by that specific section; and\n(b) all correlative obligations, liabilities, and restrictions in that section also apply.","path":["Title 57 Real Estate","Chapter 57-8a Community Association Act","Part 57-8a-1 General Provisions"],"source_url":"https://le.utah.gov/xcode/Title57/Chapter8a/57-8a-S107.html","current_through":"2026 General Session","vintage":"","retrieved_at":"2026-09-03T11:34:33Z","sha256":"b315f67814995031cb8c793a18bc2018823884b5cf993d1770ae13408f694a12","source_id":"us-ut","stale":false,"prev":"us-ut/utah-code-57-8a-106","next":"us-ut/utah-code-57-8a-108"},"notice":"GroundRules: Original legal text.
