{"data":{"id":"us-ut/utah-code-58-20b-302","jurisdiction":"us-ut","citation":"Utah Code § 58-20b-302","heading":"Qualifications for licensure.","body":"(1) Except as provided in Subsection (2), an applicant for licensure as an environmental health scientist shall:\n(a) submit an application in a form approved by the division;\n(b) pay a fee determined by the department under Section 63J-1-504;\n(c) hold, at a minimum, a bachelor's degree;\n(d) pass an examination as determined by division rule in collaboration with the board; and\n(e) pass the Utah Law and Rules Examination for Environmental Health Scientists administered by the division.\n(2) An applicant for licensure as an environmental health scientist-in-training shall:\n(a) submit an application in a form approved by the division;\n(b) pay a fee determined by the department under Section 63J-1-504;\n(c) hold, at a minimum, a bachelor's degree;\n(d) pass the Utah Law and Rules Examination for Environmental Health Scientists administered by the division; and\n(e) present evidence acceptable to the division and the board that the applicant, when licensed under this Subsection (2), will practice as an environmental health scientist-in-training only under the general supervision of a supervising environmental health scientist licensed under this chapter.","path":["Title 58 Occupations and Professions","Chapter 58-20b Environmental Health Scientist Act","Part 58-20b-3 Licensing"],"source_url":"https://le.utah.gov/xcode/Title58/Chapter20b/58-20b-S302.html","current_through":"2026 General Session","vintage":"","retrieved_at":"2026-09-03T11:34:33Z","sha256":"0183a66df6dae665c34114ca9a5f4b4d0d17adc7e5cb945b8e1bc712482ed493","source_id":"us-ut","stale":false,"prev":"us-ut/utah-code-58-20b-301","next":"us-ut/utah-code-58-20b-303"},"notice":"GroundRules: Original legal text.
