{"data":{"id":"us-ut/utah-code-58-24b-502","jurisdiction":"us-ut","citation":"Utah Code § 58-24b-502","heading":"Unprofessional conduct.","body":"In addition to the conduct described in Subsection 58-1-501(2), \"unprofessional conduct\" includes:\n(1) using or employing the services of an individual to assist a person licensed under this chapter in a manner that is not in accordance with:\n(a) generally recognized practices, standards, or ethics of the profession for which the person is licensed; or\n(b) the requirements of this chapter or rule;\n(2) failure by a person licensed under this chapter to confine the person's conduct to that which:\n(a) the person is competent to perform, by education, training, and experience; and\n(b) is within the scope of practice permitted under this chapter or rule;\n(3) failure to supervise a licensed physical therapist assistant or a physical therapy aide in accordance with the requirements of this chapter or rule; and\n(4) other conduct defined as \"unprofessional conduct\" by the division, by rule.","path":["Title 58 Occupations and Professions","Chapter 58-24b Physical Therapy Practice Act","Part 58-24b-5 Unlawful and Unprofessional Conduct"],"source_url":"https://le.utah.gov/xcode/Title58/Chapter24b/58-24b-S502.html","current_through":"2026 General Session","vintage":"","retrieved_at":"2026-09-03T11:34:33Z","sha256":"2a06a03266ec0ba18003ddbb5315c3edfb67468568bd400de1ee77ec89bf459e","source_id":"us-ut","stale":false,"prev":"us-ut/utah-code-58-24b-501","next":"us-ut/utah-code-58-24b-503"},"notice":"GroundRules: Original legal text.
