{"data":{"id":"us-ut/utah-code-58-28-301","jurisdiction":"us-ut","citation":"Utah Code § 58-28-301","heading":"Licensure required.","body":"(1)\n(a) A license is required to engage in the practice of veterinary medicine, except as specifically provided in Sections 58-1-307 and 58-28-307.\n(b) Notwithstanding the provisions of Subsection 58-1-307(1)(c) an individual shall be licensed under this chapter as a veterinary intern in order to engage in a program of indirectly supervised clinical training with a veterinarian licensed under this chapter, and as necessary to meet licensing requirements under Subsection 58-28-302(1)(c).\n(2) The division shall issue to a person who qualifies under this chapter a license in the classification of:\n(a) veterinarian; or\n(b) veterinarian intern.","path":["Title 58 Occupations and Professions","Chapter 58-28 Veterinary Practice Act","Part 58-28-3 Licensing"],"source_url":"https://le.utah.gov/xcode/Title58/Chapter28/58-28-S301.html","current_through":"2026 General Session","vintage":"","retrieved_at":"2026-09-03T11:34:33Z","sha256":"4ce0d93b6d0191bc6d65088f000dc54f991e2d68b59a51c05703e77ecda03312","source_id":"us-ut","stale":false,"prev":"us-ut/utah-code-58-28-201","next":"us-ut/utah-code-58-28-302"},"notice":"GroundRules: Original legal text.
