{"data":{"id":"us-ut/utah-code-58-40a-201","jurisdiction":"us-ut","citation":"Utah Code § 58-40a-201","heading":"Board composition -- Duties and responsibilities.","body":"(1) There is created the Athletic Trainers Licensing Board consisting of:\n(a) four licensed athletic trainers;\n(b) one member representative of the collaborating physicians referred to in Subsection 58-40a-102(6); and\n(c) one member of the general public who has never been authorized to practice a healing art and never had a substantial personal, business, professional, or pecuniary connection with a healing art or with a medical education or health care facility, except as a client or potential client.\n(2) The board shall be appointed and serve in accordance with Section 58-1-201.\n(3) The board shall carry out the duties and responsibilities in Sections 58-1-202 and 58-1-203 and shall designate one of the board's members on a permanent or rotating basis to:\n(a) assist the division in reviewing complaints concerning the unlawful or unprofessional conduct of a licensee under this chapter; and\n(b) advise the division in the division's investigation of these complaints.\n(4) A board member who has, under Subsection (3), reviewed a complaint or advised in the complaint's investigation may be disqualified from participating with the board when the board serves as a presiding officer in an adjudicative proceeding concerning the complaint.","path":["Title 58 Occupations and Professions","Chapter 58-40a Athletic Trainer Licensing Act","Part 58-40a-2 Board"],"source_url":"https://le.utah.gov/xcode/Title58/Chapter40a/58-40a-S201.html","current_through":"2026 General Session","vintage":"","retrieved_at":"2026-09-03T11:34:33Z","sha256":"aa3b4a3c9dbf397a15036e8be41334e815d6edbb776b370e202224c9de366d0d","source_id":"us-ut","stale":false,"prev":"us-ut/utah-code-58-40a-102","next":"us-ut/utah-code-58-40a-301"},"notice":"GroundRules: Original legal text.
