{"data":{"id":"us-ut/utah-code-58-40a-302","jurisdiction":"us-ut","citation":"Utah Code § 58-40a-302","heading":"Qualifications for licensure.","body":"The division shall issue a license to practice as an athletic trainer to an applicant who:\n(1) has obtained a bachelor's or advanced degree from an accredited four-year college or university and meets the minimum athletic training curriculum requirement established by the board by rule;\n(2) has successfully completed the certification examination administered by the Board of Certification Inc. or equivalent examination approved or recognized by the board;\n(3)\n(a) is in good standing with and provides documentation of current certification by the Board of Certification Inc. or a nationally recognized credentialing agency that the board approves; and\n(b) provides documentation of emergency cardiac care certification that includes the following:\n(i) adult and pediatric cardiopulmonary resuscitation;\n(ii) airway obstruction;\n(iii) second rescuer cardiopulmonary resuscitation;\n(iv) automated external defibrillator;\n(v) barrier devices; and\n(vi) in-person or virtual demonstration of skills;\n(4) submits an application to the division on a form prescribed by the division; and\n(5) pays the required licensing fee as determined by the department under Section 63J-1-504.","path":["Title 58 Occupations and Professions","Chapter 58-40a Athletic Trainer Licensing Act","Part 58-40a-3 Licensing"],"source_url":"https://le.utah.gov/xcode/Title58/Chapter40a/58-40a-S302.html","current_through":"2026 General Session","vintage":"","retrieved_at":"2026-09-03T11:34:33Z","sha256":"003e24691b0fd6bc2cdaed9a65eb1003988a29c1e523569a9ca0a6376646232c","source_id":"us-ut","stale":false,"prev":"us-ut/utah-code-58-40a-301","next":"us-ut/utah-code-58-40a-303"},"notice":"GroundRules: Original legal text.
