{"data":{"id":"us-ut/utah-code-58-44a-503","jurisdiction":"us-ut","citation":"Utah Code § 58-44a-503","heading":"Penalty for unlawful conduct.","body":"(1) Any individual who violates the unlawful conduct provisions of Subsection 58-44a-501(1) is guilty of a third degree felony.\n(2) Any individual who violates the unlawful conduct provisions of Subsection 58-44a-501(2), (3), or (4) is guilty of a class A misdemeanor.\n(3) Subject to Subsection (4), the division may assess administrative penalties in accordance with the provisions of Section 58-44a-402 for acts of unprofessional or unlawful conduct, or any other appropriate administrative action in accordance with the provisions of Section 58-44a-401.\n(4) If a licensee has been convicted of violating Section 58-44a-501 prior to an administrative finding of a violation of the same section, the licensee may not be assessed a administrative penalty under this chapter for the same offense for which the conviction was obtained.","path":["Title 58 Occupations and Professions","Chapter 58-44a Nurse Midwife Practice Act","Part 58-44a-5 Unlawful and Unprofessional Conduct - Penalties"],"source_url":"https://le.utah.gov/xcode/Title58/Chapter44a/58-44a-S503.html","current_through":"2026 General Session","vintage":"","retrieved_at":"2026-09-03T11:34:33Z","sha256":"b26250d5fbc422814fa9844631d3f21539894b0ca96ae06feba960505d9020fa","source_id":"us-ut","stale":false,"prev":"us-ut/utah-code-58-44a-502","next":"us-ut/utah-code-58-44a-601"},"notice":"GroundRules: Original legal text.
