{"data":{"id":"us-ut/utah-code-58-47b-504","jurisdiction":"us-ut","citation":"Utah Code § 58-47b-504","heading":"Renting or leasing to a sole practitioner.","body":"A sole practitioner renting or leasing to a sole practitioner is not liable for the actions of the sole practitioner to which the sole practitioner rents or leases so long as the sole practitioner:\n(1) verifies that the sole practitioner who is renting or leasing is a licensed massage therapist and in good standing in the state of Utah at the time of the rental or lease;\n(2) obtains a signed attestation from the sole practitioner who is renting or leasing that the sole practitioner has no business arrangement with the licensed individual other than a rental or lease; and\n(3) produces copies of the following if requested by the division:\n(a) the sole practitioner's state massage license;\n(b) the sole practitioner's signed attestation described in Subsection (2); and\n(c) the rental agreement.","path":["Title 58 Occupations and Professions","Chapter 58-47b Massage Therapy Practice Act","Part 58-47b-5 Unlawful and Unprofessional Conduct - Penalties"],"source_url":"https://le.utah.gov/xcode/Title58/Chapter47b/58-47b-S504.html","current_through":"2026 General Session","vintage":"","retrieved_at":"2026-09-03T11:34:33Z","sha256":"498ece68cda26322b4416676590037a44cd280f271639c7623d5ee3283346afd","source_id":"us-ut","stale":false,"prev":"us-ut/utah-code-58-47b-503.1","next":"us-ut/utah-code-58-47b-601"},"notice":"GroundRules: Original legal text.
