{"data":{"id":"us-ut/utah-code-58-55-401","jurisdiction":"us-ut","citation":"Utah Code § 58-55-401","heading":"Grounds for denial of license and disciplinary proceedings.","body":"(1) In accordance with Section 58-1-401, the division may:\n(a) refuse to issue a license to an applicant;\n(b) refuse to renew the license of a licensee;\n(c) revoke the right of a licensee to recover from the Residence Lien Recovery Fund created by Section 38-11-201;\n(d) revoke, suspend, restrict, or place on probation the license of a licensee;\n(e) issue a public or private reprimand to a licensee; and\n(f) issue a cease and desist order.\n(2) In addition to an action taken under Subsection (1), the division may take an action described in Subsection 58-1-401(2) in relation to a license as a contractor, if:\n(a) the applicant or licensee is an unincorporated entity; and\n(b) an individual who holds an ownership interest in or is the qualifier under Section 58-55-304 of the applicant or licensee engages in:\n(i) unlawful conduct as described in Section 58-55-501; or\n(ii) unprofessional conduct as described in Section 58-55-502.","path":["Title 58 Occupations and Professions","Chapter 58-55 Utah Construction Trades Licensing Act","Part 58-55-4 Plumbers"],"source_url":"https://le.utah.gov/xcode/Title58/Chapter55/58-55-S401.html","current_through":"2026 General Session","vintage":"","retrieved_at":"2026-09-03T11:34:33Z","sha256":"d1514ab761b192c71d022c805b47bf2988bc1a67688110c0b6613786dd649ebf","source_id":"us-ut","stale":false,"prev":"us-ut/utah-code-58-55-313","next":"us-ut/utah-code-58-55-402"},"notice":"GroundRules: Original legal text.
