{"data":{"id":"us-ut/utah-code-58-57-105","jurisdiction":"us-ut","citation":"Utah Code § 58-57-105","heading":"Term of license -- Expiration -- Renewal.","body":"(1)\n(a) The division shall issue a respiratory care practitioner license in accordance with a two-year renewal cycle the division makes by rule in accordance with Title 63G, Chapter 3, Utah Administrative Rulemaking Act.\n(b) The division may extend or shorten a renewal period by as much as one year to maintain established renewal cycles or to change a renewal cycle.\n(2) A respiratory care practitioner license automatically expires on the expiration date shown on the license.\n(3)\n(a) A respiratory care apprentice license shall expire on the day of the earliest of the following events:\n(i) the issuance of a respiratory care practitioner license;\n(ii) the denial of a respiratory care practitioner license application; or\n(iii) the termination of enrollment at an accredited respiratory care practitioner program.\n(b) Notwithstanding Subsection (3)(a)(iii), a respiratory care apprentice license is valid for 60 days after the day on which a respiratory care apprentice graduates from an accredited respiratory care practitioner program.","path":["Title 58 Occupations and Professions","Chapter 58-57 Respiratory Care Practices Act"],"source_url":"https://le.utah.gov/xcode/Title58/Chapter57/58-57-S105.html","current_through":"2026 General Session","vintage":"","retrieved_at":"2026-09-03T11:34:33Z","sha256":"fe53c0b56c64693e43669cffd79ca4a25e479e39890adbb4eb75456e761a6e3c","source_id":"us-ut","stale":false,"prev":"us-ut/utah-code-58-57-104","next":"us-ut/utah-code-58-57-106"},"notice":"GroundRules: Original legal text.
