{"data":{"id":"us-ut/utah-code-58-61-301","jurisdiction":"us-ut","citation":"Utah Code § 58-61-301","heading":"Licensure required -- Certifications.","body":"(1)\n(a) A license is required to engage in the practice of psychology, except as specifically provided in Section 58-1-307.\n(b) Notwithstanding the provisions of Subsection 58-1-307(1)(c) an individual shall be certified under this chapter as a psychology resident in order to engage in a residency program of supervised clinical training necessary to meet licensing requirements as a psychologist under this chapter.\n(2) The division shall issue to an individual who qualifies under this chapter:\n(a) a license in the classification of:\n(i) psychologist;\n(ii) certified psychology resident; or\n(iii) licensed school psychological practitioner; or\n(b) a certification in the classification of:\n(i) certified prescribing psychologist; or\n(ii) provisional prescribing psychologist.","path":["Title 58 Occupations and Professions","Chapter 58-61 Psychologist Licensing Act","Part 58-61-3 Licensing"],"source_url":"https://le.utah.gov/xcode/Title58/Chapter61/58-61-S301.html","current_through":"2026 General Session","vintage":"","retrieved_at":"2026-09-03T11:34:33Z","sha256":"0d9de7b41f3aee207b62ec5644938b49f8607758aaece9de615dba285f66258f","source_id":"us-ut","stale":false,"prev":"us-ut/utah-code-58-61-102","next":"us-ut/utah-code-58-61-302"},"notice":"GroundRules: Original legal text.
