{"data":{"id":"us-ut/utah-code-58-68-302.5","jurisdiction":"us-ut","citation":"Utah Code § 58-68-302.5","heading":"Restricted licensing of an associate physician.","body":"(1) An individual may apply for a restricted license as an associate physician if the individual:\n(a) meets the requirements described in Subsections 58-68-302(1)(a) through (c), (1)(d)(i), and (1)(g) through (j);\n(b) successfully completes Step 1 and Step 2 of the United States Medical Licensing Examination or the equivalent steps of another board-approved medical licensing examination:\n(i) within three years after the day on which the applicant graduates from a program described in Subsection 58-68-302(1)(d)(i); and\n(ii) within two years before applying for a restricted license as an associate physician; and\n(c) is not currently enrolled in and has not completed a residency program.\n(2) Before a licensed associate physician may engage in the practice of medicine, the licensed associate physician shall:\n(a) enter into a collaborative practice arrangement described in Section 58-68-807 within six months after the associate physician's initial licensure; and\n(b) receive division approval of the collaborative practice arrangement.","path":["Title 58 Occupations and Professions","Chapter 58-68 Utah Osteopathic Medical Practice Act","Part 58-68-3 Licensing"],"source_url":"https://le.utah.gov/xcode/Title58/Chapter68/58-68-S302.5.html","current_through":"2026 General Session","vintage":"","retrieved_at":"2026-09-03T11:34:33Z","sha256":"12bb5c1b2af6b49ff7f1694635aa9e2a7ccb2204bea11398cb28dff172a92ee5","source_id":"us-ut","stale":false,"prev":"us-ut/utah-code-58-68-302","next":"us-ut/utah-code-58-68-303"},"notice":"GroundRules: Original legal text.
