{"data":{"id":"us-ut/utah-code-58-68-806","jurisdiction":"us-ut","citation":"Utah Code § 58-68-806","heading":"Representation of medical specialization.","body":"(1) A physician may not represent to another person that the physician is certified in a medical specialty or certified by a particular board unless:\n(a) the physician includes in the representation the name of:\n(i) the certification board or entity; and\n(ii) the medical specialty or procedure for which the physician is certified; and\n(b) the board or certification entity meets the requirements of Subsection (2).\n(2) A certification entity or board under Subsection (1) shall meet the following qualifications:\n(a) be included in the American Board of Medical Specialties or an American Osteopathic Association Certifying Board; or\n(b)\n(i) require an Accreditation Council for Graduate Medical Education or American Osteopathic Association approved post-graduate training program that provides complete training in the specialty or sub-specialty; and\n(ii) be certified or had prior certification by the member board of the American Board of Medical Specialties or an American Osteopathic Association Certifying Board.","path":["Title 58 Occupations and Professions","Chapter 58-68 Utah Osteopathic Medical Practice Act","Part 58-68-8 Practice Standards"],"source_url":"https://le.utah.gov/xcode/Title58/Chapter68/58-68-S806.html","current_through":"2026 General Session","vintage":"","retrieved_at":"2026-09-03T11:34:33Z","sha256":"cba88cb99af89b579cc584da6b559fd56bacc26f8de12ab80b54d370ae518a15","source_id":"us-ut","stale":false,"prev":"us-ut/utah-code-58-68-805","next":"us-ut/utah-code-58-68-807"},"notice":"GroundRules: Original legal text.
