{"data":{"id":"us-ut/utah-code-58-69-301","jurisdiction":"us-ut","citation":"Utah Code § 58-69-301","heading":"License required -- License classifications -- Anesthesia and analgesia permits.","body":"(1) A license is required to engage in the practice of dentistry, including teledentistry, or dental hygiene, except as specifically provided in Section 58-69-306 or 58-1-307.\n(2) The division shall issue to individuals qualified under the provisions of this chapter a license in the classification:\n(a) dentist; or\n(b) dental hygienist.\n(3) A permit is required to engage in administration of anesthesia or analgesia in the practice of dentistry or dental hygiene.\n(4) The division in collaboration with the board shall establish by rule:\n(a) the classifications of anesthesia and analgesia permits;\n(b) the scope of practice permitted under each permit classification; and\n(c) the requirements for obtaining each class of permit.","path":["Title 58 Occupations and Professions","Chapter 58-69 Dentist and Dental Hygienist Practice Act","Part 58-69-3 Licensing"],"source_url":"https://le.utah.gov/xcode/Title58/Chapter69/58-69-S301.html","current_through":"2026 General Session","vintage":"","retrieved_at":"2026-09-03T11:34:33Z","sha256":"1781a38d2fc6666c45c73d6c458591b9afab3b48897886d5afea3bf85534463a","source_id":"us-ut","stale":false,"prev":"us-ut/utah-code-58-69-201","next":"us-ut/utah-code-58-69-302"},"notice":"GroundRules: Original legal text.
