{"data":{"id":"us-ut/utah-code-58-69-808","jurisdiction":"us-ut","citation":"Utah Code § 58-69-808","heading":"Expanded functions of dental auxiliaries.","body":"(1) The division shall create certifications for dental auxiliaries to perform, under the indirect supervision of a dentist, various expanded functions, including:\n(a) delegated maxillofacial administration of botulinum toxin by a dental hygienist certified by the division;\n(b) placement of direct restorations by a dental hygienist certified by the division or a dental assistant certified by the division; and\n(c) the removal of coronal dental adhesive by a dental hygienist certified by the division or a dental assistant certified by the division.\n(2) The division shall make rules to implement this section, including rules regarding:\n(a) the education and minimum qualifications to obtain a certification; and\n(b) parameters for performing an expanded function.","path":["Title 58 Occupations and Professions","Chapter 58-69 Dentist and Dental Hygienist Practice Act","Part 58-69-8 Practice Standards"],"source_url":"https://le.utah.gov/xcode/Title58/Chapter69/58-69-S808.html","current_through":"2026 General Session","vintage":"","retrieved_at":"2026-09-03T11:34:33Z","sha256":"4edf7d94e4de289d1d006f257511aa9e92dd316b1ede2f8585fdf99cff45ab1b","source_id":"us-ut","stale":false,"prev":"us-ut/utah-code-58-69-807","next":"us-ut/utah-code-58-70a-101"},"notice":"GroundRules: Original legal text.
