{"data":{"id":"us-ut/utah-code-58-70a-401","jurisdiction":"us-ut","citation":"Utah Code § 58-70a-401","heading":"Grounds for denial of license -- Disciplinary proceedings.","body":"(1) Subject to Subsection (2), grounds for the following division actions regarding a licensee are under Section 58-1-401:\n(a) refusing to issue a license to an applicant;\n(b) refusing to renew the license of a licensee;\n(c) revoking, suspending, restricting, or placing on probation the license of a licensee;\n(d) issuing a public or private reprimand to a licensee; and\n(e) issuing a cease and desist order.\n(2) The division may not refuse, revoke, suspend, or in any way restrict an applicant or licensee's license under this chapter solely because the applicant or licensee seeks or participates in mental health or substance abuse treatment.","path":["Title 58 Occupations and Professions","Chapter 58-70a Utah Physician Assistant Act","Part 58-70a-4 License Denial and Discipline"],"source_url":"https://le.utah.gov/xcode/Title58/Chapter70a/58-70a-S401.html","current_through":"2026 General Session","vintage":"","retrieved_at":"2026-09-03T11:34:33Z","sha256":"9ca27c6577e45f69516327c50c34545e03f7f5c59df2aed35696de6df358515e","source_id":"us-ut","stale":false,"prev":"us-ut/utah-code-58-70a-307","next":"us-ut/utah-code-58-70a-501"},"notice":"GroundRules: Original legal text.
