{"data":{"id":"us-ut/utah-code-58-72-304","jurisdiction":"us-ut","citation":"Utah Code § 58-72-304","heading":"Exceptions from licensure.","body":"In addition to the exemptions from licensure set forth in Section 58-1-307, the following individuals may engage in the practice of acupuncture subject to the stated circumstances and limitations without being licensed under this chapter:\n(1) an individual described in Section 58-1-602 who is performing a procedure described in Section 58-1-602;\n(2) an individual licensed as a physician and surgeon or osteopathic physician and surgeon under Chapter 67, Utah Medical Practice Act, and Chapter 68, Utah Osteopathic Medical Practice Act;\n(3) a commissioned physician or surgeon serving in the armed forces of the United States or other federal agency; and\n(4) a chiropractic physician licensed under Chapter 73, Chiropractic Physician Practice Act, except that a chiropractic physician may not claim to be a licensed acupuncturist without acupuncturist licensure.","path":["Title 58 Occupations and Professions","Chapter 58-72 Acupuncture Licensing Act","Part 58-72-3 Licensure"],"source_url":"https://le.utah.gov/xcode/Title58/Chapter72/58-72-S304.html","current_through":"2026 General Session","vintage":"","retrieved_at":"2026-09-03T11:34:33Z","sha256":"8aa2b4129c9813613c02ceff3104eb52208a92e7bb813fff0c62f10fc7bc8628","source_id":"us-ut","stale":false,"prev":"us-ut/utah-code-58-72-303","next":"us-ut/utah-code-58-72-401"},"notice":"GroundRules: Original legal text.
