{"data":{"id":"us-ut/utah-code-58-76-201","jurisdiction":"us-ut","citation":"Utah Code § 58-76-201","heading":"Board.","body":"(1) There is created the Professional Geologist Licensing Board consisting of five members as follows:\n(a) three professional geologists;\n(b) the Utah state geologist; and\n(c) one member representing the general public.\n(2) Except for the Utah state geologist, the board shall be appointed and serve in accordance with Section 58-1-201.\n(3) The duties and responsibilities of the board are in accordance with Sections 58-1-202 and 58-1-203, and the board shall also:\n(a) designate one of its members on a permanent or rotating basis to assist the division in reviewing complaints concerning the unlawful or unprofessional conduct of professional geologists; and\n(b) advise the division in its investigation of these complaints.\n(4) A board member who has, under Subsection (3), reviewed a complaint or advised in its investigation may be disqualified from participating with the board when the board serves as a presiding officer in an adjudicative proceeding concerning the complaint.","path":["Title 58 Occupations and Professions","Chapter 58-76 Professional Geologist Licensing Act","Part 58-76-2 Board"],"source_url":"https://le.utah.gov/xcode/Title58/Chapter76/58-76-S201.html","current_through":"2026 General Session","vintage":"","retrieved_at":"2026-09-03T11:34:33Z","sha256":"53dc07166175103c0607390aab703955414127fb7ace801404bb08cd340f2f1d","source_id":"us-ut","stale":false,"prev":"us-ut/utah-code-58-76-103","next":"us-ut/utah-code-58-76-301"},"notice":"GroundRules: Original legal text.
