{"data":{"id":"us-ut/utah-code-58-92-314","jurisdiction":"us-ut","citation":"Utah Code § 58-92-314","heading":"Status of license held on effective date of this chapter.","body":"On or after September 1, 2026, a person that holds a valid license under Title 53, Chapter 9, Private Investigator Regulation Act:\n(1) is subject to the following:\n(a) if the license the person holds on September 1, 2026, is an agency license under Title 53, Chapter 9, Private Investigator Regulation Act:\n(i) if the person is an entity, the person is considered to have a private investigation agency license under this chapter; or\n(ii) if the person is an individual, the person is considered to have a private investigator agent license under this chapter;\n(b) if the license the person holds on September 1, 2026, is a registrant license under Title 53, Chapter 9, Private Investigator Regulation Act, the person is considered to have a private investigator registrant license under this chapter; and\n(c) if the license the person holds on September 1, 2026, is an apprentice license under Title 53, Chapter 9, Private Investigator Regulation Act, the person is considered to have a private investigator apprentice license under this chapter; and\n(2) is subject to this chapter.","path":["Title 58 Occupations and Professions","Chapter 58-92 Private Investigation Licensing Act","Part 58-92-3 Licensing"],"source_url":"https://le.utah.gov/xcode/Title58/Chapter92/58-92-S314.html","current_through":"2026 General Session","vintage":"","retrieved_at":"2026-09-03T11:34:33Z","sha256":"d93b188606a32b91528f50ca4c6308f92aa66bfe7e6753ce1b808c9b5e2fede3","source_id":"us-ut","stale":false,"prev":"us-ut/utah-code-58-92-313","next":"us-ut/utah-code-58-92-401"},"notice":"GroundRules: Original legal text.
