{"data":{"id":"us-ut/utah-code-61-2c-501.5","jurisdiction":"us-ut","citation":"Utah Code § 61-2c-501.5","heading":"Definitions.","body":"As used in this part:\n(1) \"Civil judgment\" means a judgment in a civil action that:\n(a) is awarded in an action brought against a person licensed under this chapter on the basis of fraud, misrepresentation, or deceit in a residential mortgage loan transaction; and\n(b) awards actual damages.\n(2) \"Criminal restitution judgment\" means a judgment that, in accordance with Title 77, Criminal Procedure, orders criminal restitution to a person and against a person licensed under this chapter for a criminal offense involving fraud, misrepresentation, or deceit in a residential mortgage loan transaction.\n(3) \"Final judgment\" means one of the following judgments upon termination of the proceedings related to the judgment, including appeals:\n(a) a civil judgment; or\n(b) a criminal restitution judgment.\n(4) \"Fund\" means the Residential Mortgage Loan Education, Research, and Recovery Fund created in Section 61-2c-501.","path":["Title 61 Securities Division - Real Estate Division","Chapter 61-2c Utah Residential Mortgage Practices and Licensing Act","Part 61-2c-5 Residential Mortgage Loan Education, Research, and Recovery Fund"],"source_url":"https://le.utah.gov/xcode/Title61/Chapter2c/61-2c-S501.5.html","current_through":"2026 General Session","vintage":"","retrieved_at":"2026-09-03T11:34:33Z","sha256":"e04a183725d2a44ae8159a131073bd3d795798cc975ed8bc0c2c40669e685d65","source_id":"us-ut","stale":false,"prev":"us-ut/utah-code-61-2c-501","next":"us-ut/utah-code-61-2c-502"},"notice":"GroundRules: Original legal text.
