{"data":{"id":"us-ut/utah-code-61-2c-502","jurisdiction":"us-ut","citation":"Utah Code § 61-2c-502","heading":"Additional license fee.","body":"(1) An individual who applies for or renews a license shall pay, in addition to any other fee required under this chapter, a reasonable annual fee:\n(a) determined by the division with the concurrence of the commission; and\n(b) not to exceed $18.\n(2)\n(a) An entity that applies for or renews an entity license shall pay, in addition to any other fee required under this chapter, a reasonable annual fee:\n(i) determined by the division with the concurrence of the commission; and\n(ii) not to exceed $25.\n(b) This Subsection (2) applies:\n(i) notwithstanding that an entity is operating under an assumed name registered with the division as required by Subsection 61-2c-201(5); and\n(ii) to each branch office of an entity that is licensed under this chapter.\n(3) Notwithstanding Section 13-1-2, the following shall be paid into the fund to be used as provided in this part:\n(a) a fee provided in this section;\n(b) a fee for certifying:\n(i) a school as a certified education provider;\n(ii) a prelicensing or continuing education course; or\n(iii) a prelicensing or continuing education provider as an instructor; and\n(c) a civil penalty imposed under this chapter.\n(4) If the balance in the fund that is available to satisfy a judgment against a licensee decreases to less than $100,000, the division may make an additional assessment to a licensee to maintain the balance available at $100,000 to satisfy judgments.","path":["Title 61 Securities Division - Real Estate Division","Chapter 61-2c Utah Residential Mortgage Practices and Licensing Act","Part 61-2c-5 Residential Mortgage Loan Education, Research, and Recovery Fund"],"source_url":"https://le.utah.gov/xcode/Title61/Chapter2c/61-2c-S502.html","current_through":"2026 General Session","vintage":"","retrieved_at":"2026-09-03T11:34:33Z","sha256":"8f56d9b9e9b3d0e0fbcfd81d28f7dba6eaf05185bfe4861ab6638e6bd7f8ca4a","source_id":"us-ut","stale":false,"prev":"us-ut/utah-code-61-2c-501.5","next":"us-ut/utah-code-61-2c-503"},"notice":"GroundRules: Original legal text.
