{"data":{"id":"us-ut/utah-code-61-2c-510","jurisdiction":"us-ut","citation":"Utah Code § 61-2c-510","heading":"Money accumulated -- Purpose.","body":"(1) The division may use money accumulated in the fund in excess of the amount necessary to satisfy claims to:\n(a) investigate violations of this chapter related to fraud; and\n(b) advance education and research in the field of residential mortgage loans.\n(2) The division may use the excess money described in Subsection (1) only in a manner consistent with Subsection (1), including for:\n(a) courses sponsored by the division;\n(b) courses offered by the division in conjunction with a university or college in Utah;\n(c) contracting for a research project for the state in the field of residential mortgage loans;\n(d) funding the salaries and training expenses of division staff members who are employed in positions related to the education of mortgage licensees;\n(e) funding the training expenses of division staff members who are employed in positions conducting investigations of complaints under this chapter; and\n(f) publishing and distributing educational materials to:\n(i) licensees; and\n(ii) applicants for licensure.","path":["Title 61 Securities Division - Real Estate Division","Chapter 61-2c Utah Residential Mortgage Practices and Licensing Act","Part 61-2c-5 Residential Mortgage Loan Education, Research, and Recovery Fund"],"source_url":"https://le.utah.gov/xcode/Title61/Chapter2c/61-2c-S510.html","current_through":"2026 General Session","vintage":"","retrieved_at":"2026-09-03T11:34:33Z","sha256":"fe5be840d2a1d02e518854bd29b5bd00bb625ab59406047a22a65d6d36a5f66f","source_id":"us-ut","stale":false,"prev":"us-ut/utah-code-61-2c-509","next":"us-ut/utah-code-61-2d-101"},"notice":"GroundRules: Original legal text.
