{"data":{"id":"us-ut/utah-code-63a-16-1303","jurisdiction":"us-ut","citation":"Utah Code § 63A-16-1303","heading":"Foreign adversary prohibition in critical infrastructure.","body":"(1) A company, governmental entity, or other entity that constructs, repairs, maintains, or operates critical infrastructure, or that otherwise has significant access to critical infrastructure, may not enter into a contract or other agreement relating to critical infrastructure in this state with a foreign principal from a foreign adversary if the agreement would allow the foreign principal to directly or remotely access or control critical infrastructure in this state.\n(2) Notwithstanding Subsection (1), a company, governmental entity, or other entity may enter into a contract described in Subsection (1) with a foreign principal from a foreign adversary if no reasonable alternative exists to address the need relevant to state critical infrastructure.","path":["Title 63A Utah Government Operations Code","Chapter 63A-16 Governance Of Technology","Part 63A-16-13 Critical Infrastructure Cyber Security"],"source_url":"https://le.utah.gov/xcode/Title63A/Chapter16/63A-16-S1303.html","current_through":"2026 General Session","vintage":"","retrieved_at":"2026-09-03T11:34:33Z","sha256":"33cfe0808c63083a1c7f494066f3f87cca7ba37ccbfa3aa978627e522e3b32fb","source_id":"us-ut","stale":false,"prev":"us-ut/utah-code-63a-16-1302","next":"us-ut/utah-code-63a-17-101"},"notice":"GroundRules: Original legal text.
