{"data":{"id":"us-ut/utah-code-63a-16-201","jurisdiction":"us-ut","citation":"Utah Code § 63A-16-201","heading":"Chief information officer -- Appointment -- Powers -- Reporting.","body":"(1) The director of the division shall serve as the state's chief information officer.\n(2) The chief information officer shall:\n(a) advise the governor on information technology policy; and\n(b) perform those duties given the chief information officer by statute.\n(3)\n(a) The chief information officer shall report annually to:\n(i) the governor; and\n(ii) the Government Operations Interim Committee.\n(b) The report required under Subsection (3)(a) shall:\n(i) summarize the state's current and projected use of information technology;\n(ii) summarize the executive branch strategic plan including a description of major changes in the executive branch strategic plan;\n(iii) provide a brief description of each state agency's information technology plan;\n(iv) include the status of information technology projects described in Subsection 63A-16-104(10);\n(v) include the performance report described in Section 63A-16-211; and\n(vi) include the expenditure of the funds provided for electronic technology, equipment, and hardware.","path":["Title 63A Utah Government Operations Code","Chapter 63A-16 Governance Of Technology","Part 63A-16-2 Chief Information Officer"],"source_url":"https://le.utah.gov/xcode/Title63A/Chapter16/63A-16-S201.html","current_through":"2026 General Session","vintage":"","retrieved_at":"2026-09-03T11:34:33Z","sha256":"87529b00fbe902ef178aabb3edff0a4095fb63f0b3c50f7c59fcd812bfb1dd5e","source_id":"us-ut","stale":false,"prev":"us-ut/utah-code-63a-16-110","next":"us-ut/utah-code-63a-16-202"},"notice":"GroundRules: Original legal text.
