{"data":{"id":"us-ut/utah-code-63a-3-502.5","jurisdiction":"us-ut","citation":"Utah Code § 63A-3-502.5","heading":"Debtor's online access to debt amount.","body":"(1) As used in this section, \"debt\" means:\n(a) an accounts receivable; or\n(b) a criminal accounts receivable.\n(2) On or before December 31, 2022, the office shall provide a debtor who has a debt transferred to the office online access to the debtor's account that identifies:\n(a) the total balance the debtor owes for a debt;\n(b)\n(i) each person to whom the debtor owes a debt; or\n(ii) if the person's name is redacted by a court or a state agency with authority to redact, another identifier for the debt in place of the person's name;\n(c) for each person the debtor owes:\n(i) the debtor's original balance for a debt; and\n(ii) the debtor's current balance for a debt;\n(d) the current interest rate for a debt; and\n(e) the history of:\n(i) any additional charge added to a debt including:\n(A) the reason for the charge;\n(B) the total amount of the charge; and\n(C) the date the charge was added; and\n(ii) any payment made by the debtor including:\n(A) the debt to which a payment was applied; and\n(B) whether the payment was applied to an administrative cost, accrued interest, the principal, or other fee.","path":["Title 63A Utah Government Operations Code","Chapter 63A-3 Division of Finance","Part 63A-3-5 Office of State Debt Collection"],"source_url":"https://le.utah.gov/xcode/Title63A/Chapter3/63A-3-S502.5.html","current_through":"2026 General Session","vintage":"","retrieved_at":"2026-09-03T11:34:33Z","sha256":"59472568b1df5975916eb6181b4de9ca58050ef6c7923a10682a65f2ddfb338e","source_id":"us-ut","stale":false,"prev":"us-ut/utah-code-63a-3-502","next":"us-ut/utah-code-63a-3-503"},"notice":"GroundRules: Original legal text.
