{"data":{"id":"us-ut/utah-code-63a-3-509","jurisdiction":"us-ut","citation":"Utah Code § 63A-3-509","heading":"Suspension of interest on certain accounts receivable during and subsequent to incarceration.","body":"Beginning on January 1, 2027, unless prohibited by another provision of law or a court order, or unless an account receivable contains restitution as defined in Section 77-38b-102, the office shall, upon receipt of a notification from a county jail in accordance with Section 17-72-803 or a notification from the Department of Corrections in accordance with Subsection 64-13-23(9), suspend the accrual of interest on an individual's accounts receivable under Subsection 63A-3-502(4)(g):\n(1) during any period that the individual is incarcerated in a county jail or a state prison, if the period is 90 or more consecutive days; and\n(2) for a period of 180 days after the day on which the individual is released from a period of incarceration as described in Subsection (1).","path":["Title 63A Utah Government Operations Code","Chapter 63A-3 Division of Finance","Part 63A-3-5 Office of State Debt Collection"],"source_url":"https://le.utah.gov/xcode/Title63A/Chapter3/63A-3-S509.html","current_through":"2026 General Session","vintage":"","retrieved_at":"2026-09-03T11:34:33Z","sha256":"402c809c349e12ea3efb114ea24a9e11e7b4f44004ba07fc6757eda034eb735a","source_id":"us-ut","stale":false,"prev":"us-ut/utah-code-63a-3-508","next":"us-ut/utah-code-63a-4-101.1"},"notice":"GroundRules: Original legal text.
