{"data":{"id":"us-ut/utah-code-63a-5b-1212","jurisdiction":"us-ut","citation":"Utah Code § 63A-5b-1212","heading":"School construction liaison -- Coordination with state board.","body":"(1) The state board shall designate a school construction liaison who:\n(a) serves as the primary contact between the state board and the division on school construction matters;\n(b) coordinates on educational programming requirements that may affect construction standards;\n(c) participates in administrative rule development and review processes;\n(d) provides input on educational facility needs and trends;\n(e) assists with training programs for LEA officials; and\n(f) facilitates resolution of construction-related issues affecting educational programs.\n(2) The school construction liaison shall:\n(a) be an employee of the state board;\n(b) have expertise in school construction, educational facilities, or related fields;\n(c) participate in relevant division meetings and committees;\n(d) maintain regular communication with division staff; and\n(e) report to the state board on construction oversight activities and issues.\n(3) The division and state board shall establish a memorandum of understanding that:\n(a) defines roles and responsibilities for school construction oversight;\n(b) establishes communication protocols and meeting schedules;\n(c) addresses coordination on policy development and implementation;\n(d) provides for information sharing and joint training activities; and\n(e) includes dispute resolution procedures.","path":["Title 63A Utah Government Operations Code","Chapter 63A-5b Administration of State Facilities","Part 63A-5b-12 Public School Construction Oversight"],"source_url":"https://le.utah.gov/xcode/Title63A/Chapter5b/63A-5b-S1212.html","current_through":"2026 General Session","vintage":"","retrieved_at":"2026-09-03T11:34:33Z","sha256":"45741d4091be27dd232dd4d3cfd60e2ffa2960de6981495c0b9974ced38cc9a2","source_id":"us-ut","stale":false,"prev":"us-ut/utah-code-63a-5b-1211","next":"us-ut/utah-code-63a-5b-1213"},"notice":"GroundRules: Original legal text.
