{"data":{"id":"us-ut/utah-code-63b-22-201","jurisdiction":"us-ut","citation":"Utah Code § 63B-22-201","heading":"Authorizations to design and construct capital facilities using institutional or agency funds.","body":"(1) The Legislature intends that:\n(a) Southern Utah University may, subject to requirements in Title 63A, Chapter 5b, Administration of State Facilities, use up to $35,000,000 in donations and institutional funds to plan, design, and construct a Center for the Arts with up to 110,000 square feet;\n(b) no state funds be used for any portion of this project; and\n(c) the university may not request state funds for operation and maintenance costs or capital improvements.\n(2) The Legislature intends that:\n(a) the University of Utah may, subject to requirements in Title 63A, Chapter 5b, Administration of State Facilities, use up to $11,040,000 in donations and institutional funds to plan, design, and construct a Renovation and Addition of Phase II of the Kennecott Building with up to 40,700 new square feet;\n(b) no state funds be used for any portion of this project; and\n(c) the university may use state funds for operation and maintenance costs or capital improvements.\n(3) The Legislature intends that:\n(a) Utah State University may, subject to requirements in Title 63A, Chapter 5b, Administration of State Facilities, use up to $9,800,000 in donations and institutional funds to plan, design, and construct a Science and Technology Building at Utah State University Tooele with up to 33,000 square feet;\n(b) no state funds be used for any portion of this project; and\n(c) the university may use state funds for operation and maintenance costs or capital improvements.\n(4) The Legislature intends that:\n(a) the Department of Public Safety may, subject to requirements in Title 63A, Chapter 5b, Administration of State Facilities, use up to $1,505,000 in nonlapsing balances to plan, design, and construct a Drivers License Building in Price with up to 7,500 square feet;\n(b) no state funds be used for any portion of this project; and\n(c) the department may use state funds for operation and maintenance costs or capital improvements.","path":["Title 63B Bonds","Chapter 63B-22 2013 Bonding and Financing Authorizations","Part 63B-22-2 2013 Capital Facility Design and Construction Authorizations"],"source_url":"https://le.utah.gov/xcode/Title63B/Chapter22/63B-22-S201.html","current_through":"2026 General Session","vintage":"","retrieved_at":"2026-09-03T11:34:33Z","sha256":"ee43225ff2dbad324c7b490d6158c51e2e9404a5156cd7d0307f75e46ce702fa","source_id":"us-ut","stale":false,"prev":"us-ut/utah-code-63b-22-101","next":"us-ut/utah-code-63b-23-101"},"notice":"GroundRules: Original legal text.
