{"data":{"id":"us-ut/utah-code-63b-24-201","jurisdiction":"us-ut","citation":"Utah Code § 63B-24-201","heading":"Authorizations to design and construct capital facilities using institutional or agency funds.","body":"(1) The Legislature intends that:\n(a) the University of Utah may, subject to the requirements of Title 63A, Chapter 5b, Administration of State Facilities, use up to $8,200,000 in institutional funds to plan, design, and construct the William C. Browning Building Addition with up to 24,000 square feet;\n(b) the university may not use state funds for any portion of this project; and\n(c) the university may use state funds for operation and maintenance costs or capital improvements.\n(2) The Legislature intends that:\n(a) Utah State University may, subject to the requirements of Title 63A, Chapter 5b, Administration of State Facilities, use up to $10,000,000 in institutional funds to plan, design, and construct the Fine Arts Complex Addition/Renovation with up to 17,000 square feet;\n(b) the university may not use state funds for any portion of this project; and\n(c) the university may use state funds for operation and maintenance costs or capital improvements.\n(3) The Legislature intends that:\n(a) Salt Lake Community College may, subject to the requirements of Title 63A, Chapter 5b, Administration of State Facilities, use up to $3,900,000 in institutional funds to plan, design, and construct a Strength and Conditioning Center with up to 11,575 square feet;\n(b) the college may not use state funds for any portion of this project; and\n(c) the college may not request state funds for operation and maintenance costs or capital improvements.\n(4) The Legislature intends that:\n(a) the Governor's Office of Economic Development may, subject to the requirements of Title 63A, Chapter 5b, Administration of State Facilities, use up to $1,800,000 in nonlapsing balances and donations to plan, design, and construct or lease a Southern Utah Welcome Center with up to 5,000 square feet;\n(b) the office may request additional state funds for the project, unless the office receives donations and begins design or construction of the project; and\n(c) the office may use state funds for operation and maintenance costs or capital improvements.","path":["Title 63B Bonds","Chapter 63B-24 Bonding and Financing Authorizations","Part 63B-24-2 2015 Capital Facility Design and Construction Authorizations"],"source_url":"https://le.utah.gov/xcode/Title63B/Chapter24/63B-24-S201.html","current_through":"2026 General Session","vintage":"","retrieved_at":"2026-09-03T11:34:33Z","sha256":"77cf19311aed3b4176cddbb9f2ac69231e23da07dfdb4e436d6a0e1df8ba4161","source_id":"us-ut","stale":false,"prev":"us-ut/utah-code-63b-24-102","next":"us-ut/utah-code-63b-26-101"},"notice":"GroundRules: Original legal text.
