{"data":{"id":"us-ut/utah-code-63e-2-109","jurisdiction":"us-ut","citation":"Utah Code § 63E-2-109","heading":"State statutes.","body":"(1) Except as specifically modified in its authorizing statute, each independent corporation shall be exempt from the statutes governing state agencies, including:\n(a) Title 51, Chapter 5, Funds Consolidation Act;\n(b) Title 51, Chapter 7, State Money Management Act;\n(c) Title 63A, Utah Government Operations Code;\n(d) Title 63G, Chapter 3, Utah Administrative Rulemaking Act;\n(e) Title 63G, Chapter 4, Administrative Procedures Act;\n(f) Title 63G, Chapter 6a, Utah Procurement Code;\n(g) Title 63J, Chapter 1, Budgetary Procedures Act;\n(h) Title 63J, Chapter 2, Revenue Procedures and Control Act; and\n(i) Title 63A, Chapter 17, Utah State Personnel Management Act.\n(2) Except as specifically modified in its authorizing statute, each independent corporation shall be subject to:\n(a) Title 52, Chapter 4, Open and Public Meetings Act;\n(b) Section 67-3-12; and\n(c) Title 63G, Chapter 2, Government Records Access and Management Act.\n(3) Each independent corporation board may adopt its own policies and procedures governing its:\n(a) funds management;\n(b) audits; and\n(c) personnel.","path":["Title 63E Independent Entities Code","Chapter 63E-2 Independent Corporations Act"],"source_url":"https://le.utah.gov/xcode/Title63E/Chapter2/63E-2-S109.html","current_through":"2026 General Session","vintage":"","retrieved_at":"2026-09-03T11:34:33Z","sha256":"e855ea54edfa05b4a76bf5782a5064a2f181535cdb10160f41a62ffa4e3c1c5d","source_id":"us-ut","stale":false,"prev":"us-ut/utah-code-63e-2-108","next":"us-ut/utah-code-63e-2-110"},"notice":"GroundRules: Original legal text.
