{"data":{"id":"us-ut/utah-code-63g-17-102","jurisdiction":"us-ut","citation":"Utah Code § 63G-17-102","heading":"Definitions.","body":"As used in this chapter:\n(1) \"Agency\" means:\n(a) the House of Representatives;\n(b) the Senate;\n(c) a staff office of the Legislature;\n(d) a department in the executive branch of state government;\n(e) the Judicial Council; or\n(f) a state institution of higher education.\n(2) \"Air pollutant\" is as defined in 42 U.S.C. Sec. 7602(g).\n(3) \"Designated county\" means:\n(a) Salt Lake County;\n(b) Davis County;\n(c) Utah County;\n(d) Weber County;\n(e) Box Elder County;\n(f) Cache County;\n(g) Duchesne County; or\n(h) Uintah County.\n(4) \"Mitigation efforts\" means measures taken to reduce the emission of air pollutants, including:\n(a) flexible work schedules to reduce driving during peak times;\n(b) telecommuting;\n(c) electronic communication, including teleconferencing;\n(d) encouraging ride sharing;\n(e) encouraging use of public or alternative forms of transportation;\n(f) energy conservation;\n(g) using alternative energy sources;\n(h) recycling and using recycled products;\n(i) using non-aerosol products;\n(j) reducing idling;\n(k) low-maintenance landscaping; or\n(l) other technology that may be used, or measures that may be taken, to reduce the emission of air pollutants.","path":["Title 63G General Government","Chapter 63G-17 Air Quality Mitigation","Part 63G-17-1 General Provisions"],"source_url":"https://le.utah.gov/xcode/Title63G/Chapter17/63G-17-S102.html","current_through":"2026 General Session","vintage":"","retrieved_at":"2026-09-03T11:34:34Z","sha256":"7018f4fecb61ca9903e17532af12ad127f34315cccfcfe30bb8006634e17f91c","source_id":"us-ut","stale":false,"prev":"us-ut/utah-code-63g-17-101","next":"us-ut/utah-code-63g-17-201"},"notice":"GroundRules: Original legal text.
