{"data":{"id":"us-ut/utah-code-63g-24-102","jurisdiction":"us-ut","citation":"Utah Code § 63G-24-102","heading":"Definitions.","body":"As used in this chapter:\n(1) \"Affiliation\" means association with an entity, including association in the form of employment, ownership, shareholdership, or financial interest.\n(2) \"Agency\" means the same as that term is defined in Section 63G-4-103.\n(3) \"Appointed board member\" means an individual appointed by the governor, with the consent of the Senate, to serve on a rulemaking board.\n(4) \"Nominee\" means a person selected by the governor to fill a rulemaking board vacancy subject to the advice and consent of the Senate.\n(5)\n(a) \"Rulemaking board\" means a board, committee, commission, or council:\n(i) that has rulemaking authority; and\n(ii) at least part of whose membership is appointed by the governor subject to the advice and consent of the Senate.\n(b) \"Rulemaking board\" does not include:\n(i) the State Board of Education; or\n(ii) the Utah Retirement Board.\n(6) \"Substantial interest\" means the same as that term is defined in Section 67-16-3.","path":["Title 63G General Government","Chapter 63G-24 Board Vacancies and Conflicts Act","Part 63G-24-1 General Provisions"],"source_url":"https://le.utah.gov/xcode/Title63G/Chapter24/63G-24-S102.html","current_through":"2026 General Session","vintage":"","retrieved_at":"2026-09-03T11:34:34Z","sha256":"8e8f9c5b7947647a18dc3780d0f89104bf77f0eb711fd0803895a40032b2b185","source_id":"us-ut","stale":false,"prev":"us-ut/utah-code-63g-24-101","next":"us-ut/utah-code-63g-24-103"},"notice":"GroundRules: Original legal text.
