{"data":{"id":"us-ut/utah-code-63g-6a-1206.3","jurisdiction":"us-ut","citation":"Utah Code § 63G-6a-1206.3","heading":"Auditing of books of contractor or subcontractor.","body":"(1) A procurement officer or an audit entity under contract with the procurement unit may audit the books and records of a contractor or subcontractor.\n(2) An audit under Subsection (1):\n(a) is limited to the books and records that relate to the applicable contract or subcontract; and\n(b) may occur only at a reasonable time and place.\n(3) A contractor shall maintain all books and records relating to a contract for six years after the day on which the contractor receives the final payment under the contract, or until all audits initiated under this section within the six-year period have been completed, whichever is later.\n(4) A subcontractor shall maintain all books and records relating to a subcontract for six years after the day on which the subcontractor receives the final payment under the subcontract, or until all audits initiated under this section within the six-year period have been completed, whichever is later.","path":["Title 63G General Government","Chapter 63G-6a Utah Procurement Code","Part 63G-6a-12 Contracts and Change Orders"],"source_url":"https://le.utah.gov/xcode/Title63G/Chapter6a/63G-6a-S1206.3.html","current_through":"2026 General Session","vintage":"","retrieved_at":"2026-09-03T11:34:34Z","sha256":"b04d354b83f89766e57785c63cfe51361c6855554159e4f1e902d26577c08907","source_id":"us-ut","stale":false,"prev":"us-ut/utah-code-63g-6a-1206","next":"us-ut/utah-code-63g-6a-1206.5"},"notice":"GroundRules: Original legal text.
