{"data":{"id":"us-ut/utah-code-63g-6a-1206.5","jurisdiction":"us-ut","citation":"Utah Code § 63G-6a-1206.5","heading":"Change in contract price.","body":"(1) As used in this section, \"contract price\":\n(a) means the price under an existing contract between a procurement unit and a contractor; and\n(b) does not include a proposed price or cost contained in a solicitation response or any other bid, proposal, or offer submitted by a person other than the contractor under the existing contract.\n(2) A contractor may:\n(a) increase the contract price only in accordance with the terms of the contract; and\n(b) subject to Subsection (3), lower the contract price at any time during the time a contract is in effect.\n(3) A contractor under a multiple award contract resulting from a bidding process may not lower the contract price unless the contractor's solicitation response that led to the contract award was the lowest price solicitation response.","path":["Title 63G General Government","Chapter 63G-6a Utah Procurement Code","Part 63G-6a-12 Contracts and Change Orders"],"source_url":"https://le.utah.gov/xcode/Title63G/Chapter6a/63G-6a-S1206.5.html","current_through":"2026 General Session","vintage":"","retrieved_at":"2026-09-03T11:34:34Z","sha256":"ce359ee4827245ad46f2051c9a8b9daaeccfb3293c20a5582d4e8dd683be4d36","source_id":"us-ut","stale":false,"prev":"us-ut/utah-code-63g-6a-1206.3","next":"us-ut/utah-code-63g-6a-1207"},"notice":"GroundRules: Original legal text.
