{"data":{"id":"us-ut/utah-code-63g-6a-302","jurisdiction":"us-ut","citation":"Utah Code § 63G-6a-302","heading":"Chief procurement officer -- Qualifications -- Authority.","body":"(1) The chief procurement officer shall:\n(a) have a minimum of eight years' experience:\n(i)\n(A) in the large-scale procurement of supplies, services, or construction; or\n(B) negotiating contract terms and conditions; and\n(ii) at least five years of which shall have been in public or comparable private procurement within 12 years preceding the date of appointment; and\n(b) be a person with demonstrated executive and organizational ability.\n(2) The chief procurement officer is also the director of the Division of Purchasing and General Services.\n(3) The chief procurement officer has authority over a procurement by a procurement unit, except:\n(a) an independent procurement unit; or\n(b) as otherwise expressly provided in this chapter.","path":["Title 63G General Government","Chapter 63G-6a Utah Procurement Code","Part 63G-6a-3 Chief Procurement Officer"],"source_url":"https://le.utah.gov/xcode/Title63G/Chapter6a/63G-6a-S302.html","current_through":"2026 General Session","vintage":"","retrieved_at":"2026-09-03T11:34:34Z","sha256":"b9faad29d8403aea8136a9f4504c495b5a9793ece0c1bc693e03a438703c429a","source_id":"us-ut","stale":false,"prev":"us-ut/utah-code-63g-6a-301","next":"us-ut/utah-code-63g-6a-303"},"notice":"GroundRules: Original legal text.
