{"data":{"id":"us-ut/utah-code-63g-6a-606","jurisdiction":"us-ut","citation":"Utah Code § 63G-6a-606","heading":"Evaluation of bids -- Award -- Cancellation.","body":"(1) A procurement unit that conducts a procurement using a bidding process shall evaluate bids:\n(a) using the objective criteria described in the invitation for bids; and\n(b) to achieve the greatest long-term value to the state and the procurement unit.\n(2) Criteria not described in the invitation for bids may not be used to evaluate a bid.\n(3) After evaluating bids, the procurement unit shall:\n(a)\n(i) award a contract as soon as practicable to the responsible bidder who submits the lowest responsive bid; and\n(ii) publish the name and bid amount of the bidder to whom the contract is awarded; or\n(b)\n(i) cancel the invitation for bids without awarding a contract; and\n(ii) publish a notice of the cancellation that includes an explanation of the reasons for cancelling the invitation for bids.","path":["Title 63G General Government","Chapter 63G-6a Utah Procurement Code","Part 63G-6a-6 Bidding"],"source_url":"https://le.utah.gov/xcode/Title63G/Chapter6a/63G-6a-S606.html","current_through":"2026 General Session","vintage":"","retrieved_at":"2026-09-03T11:34:34Z","sha256":"946625a43acdb75ef841a6a63fb3d3ba9983880a274ecf1520e1d3773753afbb","source_id":"us-ut","stale":false,"prev":"us-ut/utah-code-63g-6a-604","next":"us-ut/utah-code-63g-6a-608"},"notice":"GroundRules: Original legal text.
