{"data":{"id":"us-ut/utah-code-63h-7a-603","jurisdiction":"us-ut","citation":"Utah Code § 63H-7a-603","heading":"Financial officer -- Duties.","body":"(1) The executive director shall appoint a financial officer for the Administrative Services Division with the approval of the board.\n(2) The financial officer shall be responsible for accounting for the authority, including:\n(a) safekeeping and investment of public funds of the authority, including the funds expended from the restricted accounts created in this chapter;\n(b) the proper collection, deposit, disbursement, and management of the public funds of the authority in accordance with Title 51, Chapter 7, State Money Management Act;\n(c) having authority to sign all bills payable, notes, checks, drafts, warrants, or other negotiable instruments in the absence of the executive director and the executive director's designated employee;\n(d) providing to the board and the executive director a statement of the condition of the finances of the authority, at least annually and at such other times as shall be requested by the board; and\n(e) performing all other duties incident to the financial officer.\n(3) The financial officer shall:\n(a) obtain crime insurance in an amount established by the State Money Management Council; and\n(b) file written reports with the State Money Management Council pursuant to Section 51-7-15.","path":["Title 63H Independent State Entities","Chapter 63H-7a Utah Communications Authority Act","Part 63H-7a-6 Administrative Services Division"],"source_url":"https://le.utah.gov/xcode/Title63H/Chapter7a/63H-7a-S603.html","current_through":"2026 General Session","vintage":"","retrieved_at":"2026-09-03T11:34:34Z","sha256":"c163cd3fefe0d819854c168fdeeb7eb6f84337c9eadc3d6dc85c7e969342121d","source_id":"us-ut","stale":false,"prev":"us-ut/utah-code-63h-7a-602","next":"us-ut/utah-code-63h-7a-701"},"notice":"GroundRules: Original legal text.
