{"data":{"id":"us-ut/utah-code-63l-12-101","jurisdiction":"us-ut","citation":"Utah Code § 63L-12-101","heading":"Definitions.","body":"As used in this chapter:\n(1) \"Governmental entity\" means:\n(a) an agency, as that term is defined in Section 63G-10-102;\n(b) the School and Institutional Trust Lands Administration created in Section 53C-1-201;\n(c) the School and Institutional Trust Lands Board of Trustees created in Section 53C-1-202; or\n(d) a political subdivision, as that term is defined in Section 63L-11-102.\n(2) \"Grant\" means:\n(a) to convey, in whole or in part, with or without consideration; and\n(b) to contract or partner with an entity for the development of moderate income housing.\n(3) \"Moderate income housing\" means a dwelling that is:\n(a) offered for sale to an owner-occupier at a purchase price affordable to a household with a gross income of no more than 120% of the area median income for the county in which the residential unit is offered for sale and is deed restricted for no fewer than five years; or\n(b) offered for rent at a rental price affordable to a household with a gross income of no more than 80% of the area median income for the county in which the residential unit is offered for rent.\n(4) \"Municipality\" means the same as that term is defined in Section 10-1-104.\n(5) \"Owner-occupier\" means an individual who owns, solely or jointly, a housing unit in which the individual lives as the individual's primary residence.","path":["Title 63L Lands","Chapter 63L-12 Granting of Real Property for Moderate Income Housing"],"source_url":"https://le.utah.gov/xcode/Title63L/Chapter12/63L-12-S101.html","current_through":"2026 General Session","vintage":"","retrieved_at":"2026-09-03T11:34:34Z","sha256":"08ae09e4bb9d38236c9b6ab97df01b96a47a5a99f200a94097517c127afd2d16","source_id":"us-ut","stale":false,"prev":"us-ut/utah-code-63l-11-503","next":"us-ut/utah-code-63l-12-102"},"notice":"GroundRules: Original legal text.
