{"data":{"id":"us-ut/utah-code-63l-9-103","jurisdiction":"us-ut","citation":"Utah Code § 63L-9-103","heading":"Director.","body":"(1) Upon the requirements described in Subsection 63L-9-102(2) being fulfilled, the governor shall, with the advice and consent of the Senate, appoint a director of the Department of Land Management.\n(2) The director shall:\n(a) be the executive and administrative head of the Department of Land Management;\n(b) have demonstrated ability and experience in the administration and management of state or federal lands;\n(c) not hold any other public office or be involved in a political party or organization; and\n(d) hire personnel to staff the department.\n(3) The director shall have:\n(a) executive authority and control of the Department of Land Management; and\n(b) authority over all personnel matters.","path":["Title 63L Lands","Chapter 63L-9 Department of Land Management"],"source_url":"https://le.utah.gov/xcode/Title63L/Chapter9/63L-9-S103.html","current_through":"2026 General Session","vintage":"","retrieved_at":"2026-09-03T11:34:34Z","sha256":"98f0eebefe88e0afcbcea55582eebe012b1a1b739193f613a8d4a40008dd5e5f","source_id":"us-ut","stale":false,"prev":"us-ut/utah-code-63l-9-102","next":"us-ut/utah-code-63l-9-104"},"notice":"GroundRules: Original legal text.
