{"data":{"id":"us-ut/utah-code-63n-23-807","jurisdiction":"us-ut","citation":"Utah Code § 63N-23-807","heading":"Revitalization Zone Committee -- Creation -- Membership -- Staff.","body":"(1) There is created the Revitalization Zone Committee to review the activities of, and advise a local government and project participants in a project area created under this part.\n(2) The committee consists of the following members:\n(a) two members of the Senate, appointed by the president of the Senate;\n(b) two members of the House of Representatives, appointed by the speaker of the House of Representatives; and\n(c) one individual appointed by the governor.\n(3)\n(a) The president of the Senate shall designate a member of the Senate appointed under Subsection (2) as cochair of the committee.\n(b) The speaker of the House of Representatives shall designate a member of the House of Representatives appointed under Subsection (2) as cochair of the committee.\n(4)\n(a) A majority of the members of the committee constitutes a quorum.\n(b) The action of a majority of a quorum constitutes action of the Revitalization Zone Committee.\n(5) The committee shall meet to review an endorsed application as provided under Section 63N-23-806.\n(6) The committee may meet, upon the agreement of both cochairs:\n(a) to review a report provided under Section 63N-23-808;\n(b) at the discretion of the cochairs; and\n(c) at the request of a local government.\n(7) A legislative member of the committee shall be paid salary and expenses in accordance with Section 36-2-2 and Legislative Joint Rules, Title 5, Chapter 3, Legislator Compensation.\n(8) A member who is not a legislator may not receive compensation or benefits for the member's service, but may receive per diem and travel expenses as allowed in:\n(a) Section 63A-3-106;\n(b) Section 63A-3-107; and\n(c) rules made by the Division of Finance according to Sections 63A-3-106 and 63A-3-107.\n(9) The Office of Legislative Research and General Counsel shall:\n(a) provide staff support to the committee; and\n(b) consult with the Office of the Legislative Fiscal Analyst on fiscal issues reviewed by the committee.","path":["Title 63N Economic Opportunity Act","Chapter 63N-23 Housing Investment And Opportunity Act","Part 63N-23-8 Capital City Revitalization Zone"],"source_url":"https://le.utah.gov/xcode/Title63N/Chapter23/63N-23-S807.html","current_through":"2026 General Session","vintage":"","retrieved_at":"2026-09-03T11:34:34Z","sha256":"6314d2ce8de9de53ef3a169e56d42d6d70ddfab27677f51613f6116b2de0ebb9","source_id":"us-ut","stale":false,"prev":"us-ut/utah-code-63n-23-806","next":"us-ut/utah-code-63n-23-808"},"notice":"GroundRules: Original legal text.
