{"data":{"id":"us-ut/utah-code-63n-4-504","jurisdiction":"us-ut","citation":"Utah Code § 63N-4-504","heading":"Requirements for awarding a working hubs grant.","body":"(1) In accordance with Title 63G, Chapter 3, Utah Administrative Rulemaking Act, the office shall make rules establishing the eligibility and reporting criteria for an entity to receive a grant under this part, including:\n(a) the form and process of submitting an application to the office for a grant;\n(b) which entities are eligible to apply for a grant;\n(c) the method and formula for determining grant amounts; and\n(d) the reporting requirements of grant recipients.\n(2) In determining the award of a grant, the office may prioritize projects:\n(a) that will serve underprivileged or underserved communities, including communities with high unemployment or low median incomes;\n(b) where an applicant demonstrates comprehensive planning of the project but has limited access to financial resources, including financial resources from local or county government; and\n(c) that maximize economic development opportunities in collaboration with the economic development needs or plans of an educational institution, a county, and a municipality.\n(3) Subject to legislative appropriation, a grant may only be awarded by the executive director.\n(4) A grant may only be awarded under this part:\n(a) if the grant recipient agrees to provide any combination of funds, land, buildings, or in-kind work in an amount equal to at least 25% of the grant;\n(b) if the grant recipient agrees not to use grant money for the ongoing operation or maintenance of a coworking and innovation center; and\n(c) in an amount no more than $500,000 to a grant applicant.","path":["Title 63N Economic Opportunity Act","Chapter 63N-4 Rural Development Act","Part 63N-4-5 Rural Coworking and Innovation Center Grant Program"],"source_url":"https://le.utah.gov/xcode/Title63N/Chapter4/63N-4-S504.html","current_through":"2026 General Session","vintage":"","retrieved_at":"2026-09-03T11:34:34Z","sha256":"9e913bc71b9ee9613f15923c32f867070ff8b595b43646ec515eefd128d5b971","source_id":"us-ut","stale":false,"prev":"us-ut/utah-code-63n-4-503","next":"us-ut/utah-code-63n-4-801"},"notice":"GroundRules: Original legal text.
