The use of force, power, and authority shall be limited to:\n(a) the grounds of a facility operated in whole or in part by their employer;\n(b) when transporting inmates; and\n(c) when pursuing escapees from the facility.\n(2) Training standards for employees of a contractor shall be in accordance with the standards in Section 64-13-24.\n(3) Subsection (2) does not confer peace officer status on the contractor or its employees.","path":["Title 64 State Institutions","Chapter 64-13d Private Correctional Facilities Act"],"source_url":"https://le.utah.gov/xcode/Title64/Chapter13d/64-13d-S104.html","current_through":"2026 General Session","vintage":"","retrieved_at":"2026-09-03T11:34:34Z","sha256":"96e36e3274c01097d07267090a5e19837c769364c494712aa55c4b2b4a72220b","source_id":"us-ut","stale":false,"prev":"us-ut/utah-code-64-13d-103","next":"us-ut/utah-code-64-13d-105"},"notice":"GroundRules: Original legal text.
