{"data":{"id":"us-ut/utah-code-67-27-102","jurisdiction":"us-ut","citation":"Utah Code § 67-27-102","heading":"Definitions.","body":"As used in this chapter:\n(1) \"Career service employee\" means the same as that term is defined in Section 63A-17-102.\n(2) \"Executive branch elected official\" means:\n(a) the governor;\n(b) the lieutenant governor;\n(c) the attorney general;\n(d) the state treasurer; or\n(e) the state auditor.\n(3) \"Executive branch official\" means an individual who:\n(a) is a management level employee of an executive branch elected official; and\n(b) is not a career service employee.\n(4) \"State agency\" means a department, division, board, council, committee, institution, office, bureau, or other similar administrative unit of the executive branch of state government.","path":["Title 67 State Officers and Employees","Chapter 67-27 General Requirements for State Officers and Employees"],"source_url":"https://le.utah.gov/xcode/Title67/Chapter27/67-27-S102.html","current_through":"2026 General Session","vintage":"","retrieved_at":"2026-09-03T11:34:34Z","sha256":"c844373af3405ff4cf3983b01724bda732c5e45e2285af270a67aaaa2460191a","source_id":"us-ut","stale":false,"prev":"us-ut/utah-code-67-27-101","next":"us-ut/utah-code-67-27-103"},"notice":"GroundRules: Original legal text.
