{"data":{"id":"us-ut/utah-code-67-4a-1003","jurisdiction":"us-ut","citation":"Utah Code § 67-4a-1003","heading":"Rules for conducting examination.","body":"(1)\n(a) The administrator may adopt rules governing procedures and standards for an examination under Section 67-4a-1002.\n(b) The rules may reference any standards concerning unclaimed property examinations promulgated by the National Association of Unclaimed Property Administrators.\n(2) An examination under Section 67-4a-1002 shall be performed under rules adopted under Subsection (1).\n(3) If a person subject to examination under Section 67-4a-1002 has filed the reports required under Section 67-4a-401 and Section 67-4a-1001 and has retained the records required by Section 67-4a-404, the following rules apply:\n(a) the examination shall include a review of the person's records;\n(b) the examination may not be based on an estimate unless the person expressly consents in a record to the use of an estimate; and\n(c) the person conducting the examination shall consider the evidence presented in good faith by the person in preparing the findings of the examination under Section 67-4a-1007.","path":["Title 67 State Officers and Employees","Chapter 67-4a Revised Uniform Unclaimed Property Act","Part 67-4a-10 Verified Report of Property and Examination of Records"],"source_url":"https://le.utah.gov/xcode/Title67/Chapter4a/67-4a-S1003.html","current_through":"2026 General Session","vintage":"","retrieved_at":"2026-09-03T11:34:34Z","sha256":"fb05996b39aa95725a25fd687977d9af48d1bae670f84a738de51984d91efb62","source_id":"us-ut","stale":false,"prev":"us-ut/utah-code-67-4a-1002","next":"us-ut/utah-code-67-4a-1004"},"notice":"GroundRules: Original legal text.
