{"data":{"id":"us-ut/utah-code-69-2-204","jurisdiction":"us-ut","citation":"Utah Code § 69-2-204","heading":"Public safety answering point 911 call processing standards.","body":"(1) As used in this section:\n(a) \"Transfer rate\" means the percentage of 911 calls that are:\n(i) received by a public safety answering point during a fiscal year; and\n(ii) transferred to another location in the state.\n(b) \"Transfer rate\" does not include transfers from a public safety answering point to:\n(i) 988 services;\n(ii) poison control; or\n(iii) until July 1, 2029, transfers to a public safety answering point or dispatch center managed by the Department of Public Safety.\n(2) A public safety answering point shall:\n(a) maintain a transfer rate that is no more than 2%;\n(b) answer:\n(i) 90% of all 911 calls within 15 seconds; and\n(ii) 95% of all 911 calls within 20 seconds;\n(c) adopt and implement the statewide CAD-to-CAD call handling and 911 call transfer protocol adopted by the Utah Communications Authority board under Section 63H-7a-204;\n(d) participate in the Utah Communications Authority's annual interoperability exercise; and\n(e) maintain designation as an emergency medical service dispatch center in accordance with Section 53-2d-403.","path":["Title 69 Telegraphic and Telephonic Transactions","Chapter 69-2 Emergency Service and Prepaid Wireless Telecommunications Service","Part 69-2-2 Public Safety Answering Points and Dispatch Centers"],"source_url":"https://le.utah.gov/xcode/Title69/Chapter2/69-2-S204.html","current_through":"2026 General Session","vintage":"","retrieved_at":"2026-09-03T11:34:34Z","sha256":"8f0bf5fe01bcc376f6940625cd482a3ffc0489c20762dff433d6a03542c5bb82","source_id":"us-ut","stale":false,"prev":"us-ut/utah-code-69-2-203","next":"us-ut/utah-code-69-2-301"},"notice":"GroundRules: Original legal text.
